Unofficial VLC media player hits Android devices

VLC for Android media player is an unofficial release and is in its beta stage. It has been released for public testing for only a few based processors: ARMv6/ARM11, ARMv7a/Cortex-A8/NEON and ARMv7a/Cortex-A9. And also made for Gingerbread and Ice Cream Sandwich device only.

Nokia N9 runs Ice Cream Sandwich – Android 4.0

Nokia may not provide the best developer support for its Nokia N9 smartphone, but somebody thought it could pull more apps and coders on Google’s Android operating system. Alexey Roslyakov (@drunkdebugger), the NITDroid project builds on earlier work porting Android to the Nokia N900, has returned with a video demo of Ice Cream Sandwich on the ordinarily MeeGo smartphone. However, he did not provide instructions on how to recreate the whole scenario for other N9 owners, which likely means it is still in early development stages.
