HTC developer site, HTCdev.com, goes live

The very first things you see on the website are the three big items the community has been clamoring for: great big buttons for OpenSense SDK, Unlock Bootloader, and Kernel Source code.

OpenSense is a framework encompassing all available HTC SDKs as well as features that will be offered in the future. This framework will allow you as a developer to harness software and hardware innovation on HTC devices to develop more richly integrated mobile applications and experiences. A developer could use it to create an app that makes use of the Scribe pen for the HTC Flyer, for instance.

The kernel source code repository is a one-stop shop for all of the kernel source code that HTC has already released.

Finally, the Bootloader Unlock web tool, one of the most highly anticipated pieces of software that the company’s promised to unleash, only shows as “coming soon” on the site.
