CF-Root 5.1 kernel for Android 4.0.2 (ICL53F) from <a href="http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20394679&amp;postcount=2" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">XDA developers</a>.</p>
<h3>Step for flash new Android 4.0.2 factory image on the Galaxy Nexus</h3>
<p><strong>1. Setup the Android SDK</strong>:</p>
<ul>
<li>[Computer] Install Android SDK with “Run as administrator”.</li>

<li>[Computer] Choose Yes to ERASE ALL DATA and unlock the bootloader.</li>

<p><strong>4. Root the Galaxy Nexus.</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>[Computer] Extract the CF-Root 5.1 kernel for Android 4.0.2.</li>
<li>[Computer] Copy boot.img (CF-Root 5.1 kernel) into whichever directory you have fastboot (C:\Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools).</li>
<li>[Galaxy Nexus] Reboot your device into fastboot mode (press and hold both Volume Up and Volume Down, then press and hold Power).</li>
<li>[Galaxy Nexus] When the phone reboots to fastboot mode. Plug your device into your computer with the USB cable.</li>

<li>Google Android 4.0.2 update <a href="http://android.clients.google.com/packages/data/ota/google_maguro/1955a56dc349.signed-yakju-ICL53F-from-ITL41F.1955a56d.zip" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">from Google</a>.</li>
</ul>
<h2>Step for update Android 4.0.2 OTA on GSM Galaxy Nexus</h2>
<p><strong>1. Setup the Android SDK:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>[Computer] Install Android SDK with &#8220;Run as administrator&#8221; and launch Android SDK Manager.</li>
<li>[Computer] Select Android SDK Platform-tools and click install.<br />

<p><strong>2. Unlock bootloader for your GSM Galaxy Nexus:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Backup your data.</li>
<li>[Galaxy Nexus] Shut off the phone.</li>
<li>[Galaxy Nexus] Press and hold both Volume Up and Volume Down, then press and hold Power.</li>
<li>[Galaxy Nexus] When the phone reboots to fastboot mode. You&#8217;ll see an Android robot with his front panel open. Check to see that the text below it starts with &#8220;FASTBOOT MODE&#8221; in red.</li>
<li>[Galaxy Nexus] Plug your device into your computer with the USB cable.</li>
<li>[Computer] Wait until any drivers successful installed.</li>
<li>[Computer] Open the Windows command prompt and and type:

<li>[Computer] You will see a screen that explains the pros and cons of unlocking it, and warns you that &#8220;<strong>ALL DATA WILL BE ERASED</strong>&#8220;.</li>
<li>[Computer] Choose Yes to ERASE ALL DATA and unlock the bootloader.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>3. Update the GSM Galaxy Nexus to Android 4.0.2</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>[Galaxy Nexus] Plug your device into your computer with the USB cable.</li>
<li>[Computer] Copy the Android 4.0.2 OTA to the root directory of sdcard on your Galaxy Nexus.</li>
<li>[Computer] Copy the ClockworkMod image file to in the &#8220;\Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools\&#8221;. Rename the ClockworkMod file to <em>cwm.img</em>.</li>
<li>[Galaxy Nexus] Reboot your device to bootloader mode by press and hold volume-up and volume-down, then press and hold Power.</li>
<li>[Computer] Open a command prompt and type:
