Google Android 4.0.2 (Factory Image) from <a href="http://code.google.com/android/nexus/images.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Google</a>.<br />
CF-Root 5.1 kernel for Android 4.0.2 (ICL53F) from <a href="http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20394679&amp;postcount=2" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">XDA developers</a>.</p>
<h3>Step for flash new Android 4.0.2 factory image on the Galaxy Nexus</h3>
<p><strong>1. Setup the Android SDK</strong>:</p>
<ul>
<li>[Computer] Install Android SDK with “Run as administrator”.</li>
<li>[Computer] Launch Android SDK Manager and select Android SDK Platform-tools and click install.<img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-1049" title="Android SDK Manager" src="http://mobilegeeky.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/Android-SDK-Manager.png" alt="Android SDK Manager [Galaxy Nexus] Install Android 4.0.2 with unlock bootloader, root and CWM" width="598" height="427" /></li>
<li>[Computer] Set your PATH variable by click right on Computer and select Properties.</li>
<li>[Computer] In the window that opens, select “Advanced system settings”, and select “Environment Variables”.</li>
<li>[Computer] Another window will open, in the bottom text box select “Path” and click the button labeled “Edit…”</li>
<li>[Computer] You’ll see a new dialog where you can enter text. Navigate to the end of the existing text, and enter the following exactly as written:

<p><strong>2. Flash the GSM Galaxy Nexus to Android 4.0.2 factory image</strong>:</p>

<li>[Computer] Extract the Android 4.0.2 factory image into whichever directory you have fastboot (C:\Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools).</li>
<li>[Galaxy Nexus] Reboot your device into fastboot mode (press and hold both Volume Up and Volume Down, then press and hold Power).</li>
<li>[Galaxy Nexus] Plug your device into your computer with the USB cable.</li>
<li>[Computer] Wait until any drivers successful installed.</li>
<li>[Computer] Open the Windows command prompt and and type:

<li>After this steps, you phone should reboot with 4.0.2.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>3. Unlock Bootloader for install Clockworkmod recovery.</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Backup your data.</li>
<li>[Galaxy Nexus] Reboot your device into fastboot mode (press and hold both Volume Up and Volume Down, then press and hold Power).</li>
<li>[Galaxy Nexus] When the phone reboots to fastboot mode. Plug your device into your computer with the USB cable.</li>
<li>[Computer] Open the Windows command prompt and and type:

<li>[Computer] You will see a screen that explains the pros and cons of unlocking it, and warns you that “ALL DATA WILL BE ERASED“.</li>
<li>[Computer] Choose Yes to ERASE ALL DATA and unlock the bootloader.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>4. Root the Galaxy Nexus.</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>[Computer] Extract the CF-Root 5.1 kernel for Android 4.0.2.</li>
<li>[Computer] Copy boot.img (CF-Root 5.1 kernel) into whichever directory you have fastboot (C:\Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools).</li>
<li>[Galaxy Nexus] Reboot your device into fastboot mode (press and hold both Volume Up and Volume Down, then press and hold Power).</li>
<li>[Galaxy Nexus] When the phone reboots to fastboot mode. Plug your device into your computer with the USB cable.</li>
<li>[Computer] Open the Windows command prompt and and type:

<li>[Galaxy Nexus] Reboot your device, after that you will see the &#8220;Super User&#8221; app in menu.<br />

Today, the HTC Sensation European version is the first smartphone to be listed as a supported device on the HTC developer site. If you&#8217;re owners of HTC Sensation you can find step-by-step instruction on how to unlock the bootloader of this Smartphone.</p>
<p>The bootloader unlocking process requires some knowledge of installing the Android SDK application suite, connect the phone to a PC and view the device indentifier token for sending unique device information to HTC to be able to unlock the device.</p>
<p>When go to the <a href="http://htcdev.com/bootloader/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">unlock bootloader page</a> over at HTCDev you’ll see the above image showing only the European HTC Sensation is available for unlock currently. Remember you’ll have to sign up, agree to their terms and even give them your full contact information and email address. </p>
