Step for install Android 4.0.2 with unlock bootloader, root and CWM to Galaxy Nexus:

Software and Hardware Requires:

The GSM Galaxy Nexus.
Android SDK installed on your computer, download here
Google Android 4.0.2 (Factory Image) from Google.
CF-Root 5.1 kernel for Android 4.0.2 (ICL53F) from XDA developers.

Step for flash new Android 4.0.2 factory image on the Galaxy Nexus

1. Setup the Android SDK:

• [Computer] Install Android SDK with “Run as administrator”.
• [Computer] Launch Android SDK Manager and select Android SDK Platform-tools and click install.
• [Computer] Set your PATH variable by click right on Computer and select Properties.
• [Computer] In the window that opens, select “Advanced system settings”, and select “Environment Variables”.
• [Computer] Another window will open, in the bottom text box select “Path” and click the button labeled “Edit…”
• [Computer] You’ll see a new dialog where you can enter text. Navigate to the end of the existing text, and enter the following exactly as written:
  ;C:\Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools;C:\Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk\tools;C:\Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk
• [Computer] Click “OK”, “OK” and “OK”.

2. Flash the GSM Galaxy Nexus to Android 4.0.2 factory image:

• [Computer] Extract the Android 4.0.2 factory image into whichever directory you have fastboot (C:\Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools).
• [Galaxy Nexus] Reboot your device into fastboot mode (press and hold both Volume Up and Volume Down, then press and hold Power).
• [Galaxy Nexus] Plug your device into your computer with the USB cable.
• [Computer] Wait until any drivers successful installed.
• [Computer] Open the Windows command prompt and and type:
  cd \Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools\
• [Computer] Then typing the following command to flash the new Android 4.0.2 factory image into your Galaxy Nexus.
  fastboot flashall

  OR

   fastboot flash bootloader bootloader-maguro-XXXXXX.img
  fastboot reboot-bootloader
  (wait for bootloader to reboot)
  fastboot flash radio radio-maguro-XXXXXX.img
  fastboot reboot-bootloader
  (wait for bootloader to reboot)
  fastboot update image-yakju-XXXXXX.zip
• After this steps, you phone should reboot with 4.0.2.

3. Unlock Bootloader for install Clockworkmod recovery.

• Backup your data.
• [Galaxy Nexus] Reboot your device into fastboot mode (press and hold both Volume Up and Volume Down, then press and hold Power).
• [Galaxy Nexus] When the phone reboots to fastboot mode. Plug your device into your computer with the USB cable.
• [Computer] Open the Windows command prompt and and type:
  cd \Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools\
• [Computer] And enter the following:
  fastboot oem unlock
• [Computer] You will see a screen that explains the pros and cons of unlocking it, and warns you that “ALL DATA WILL BE ERASED“.
• [Computer] Choose Yes to ERASE ALL DATA and unlock the bootloader.

4. Root the Galaxy Nexus.

• [Computer] Extract the CF-Root 5.1 kernel for Android 4.0.2.
• [Computer] Copy boot.img (CF-Root 5.1 kernel) into whichever directory you have fastboot (C:\Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools).
• [Galaxy Nexus] Reboot your device into fastboot mode (press and hold both Volume Up and Volume Down, then press and hold Power).
• [Galaxy Nexus] When the phone reboots to fastboot mode. Plug your device into your computer with the USB cable.
• [Computer] Open the Windows command prompt and and type:
  cd \Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools\
• [Computer] enter the following:
  fastboot flash boot boot.img
• [Galaxy Nexus] Reboot your device, after that you will see the “Super User” app in menu.
  

5. Install ClockWorkmod recovery

• [Galaxy Nexus] Go to Market.
• [Galaxy Nexus] Search the free ROM Manager app and install.
• [Galaxy Nexus] Launch the ROM Manager and select flash clockworkmod recovery, then select the device model.
  

The bootloader unlocking process requires some knowledge of installing the Android SDK application suite, connect the phone to a PC and view the device indentifier token for sending unique device information to HTC to be able to unlock the device.

When go to the unlock bootloader page over at HTCDev you’ll see the above image showing only the European HTC Sensation is available for unlock currently. Remember you’ll have to sign up, agree to their terms and even give them your full contact information and email address.

This is an unlock Bootloader workflow for the European HTC Sensation.

For an HTC EVO 3D (Sprint USA) or HTC Sensation 4G (T-Mobile USA) will be available soon.

We dont know what going to happen to the future of the iPhone unlock but all we must do is sit down and relax until a new unlock solution comes out.
